it’s been too long

i didn’t take many photos on my portland trip with my real camera.. so instagram will suffice:

perhaps my favorite photo from my favorite day.

moments before the best meal.

my favorite camping trip, ever.

post-tattoo wine guzzling on the bluffs.

a great start to my second favorite day.

since my return life has been far from sleepy, but these are a few of the quiet moments:

kombucha nightcapping while solo sunsetting

the other lake

burns park, party of one

i’ve found myself in a few too many diners lately..

and i’ve spent far too little time outside..

we’re building up the reserves for a trip to Lake Michigan next month, we’ll be brewing our second batch this week in a few days. dad always taught us to be prepared.

polaroid land camera 100

Chris brought home a very fun addition to our camera collection a few weeks ago.

A Polaroid Land Camera Model 100. Although Polaroid discontinued it’s film a couple years ago, Fujifilm now produces an equivalent at $10+ a pack… making it approximately $1.00 per shot. That price tag was a little hard to swallow at first, but we’ve been having a lot of fun with it and I’m already looking for one of my own.

A little unpredictable at times, I could have sworn that the boys were centered in the viewfinder. Whoops.

I’m sure the kinks will be worked out this weekend at the beach.

OH.. and great news: I’m a finalist for The Oregonian’s Travel Photo Contest!!! Completely unexpected, they chose the shot of Lake Michigan at sunset. Cross your fingers that I actually place!
